Roperhurst is delighted to announce that Glenn Williams joined our expanding team on 1st December. Glenn, who will head up our presence in the Midlands, brings a wealth of experience gained over a career spanning more than 40 years. His substantial knowledge, particular in the areas of odour control, will deliver a range of new growth opportunities for us.
Glenn said “My main reasons for joining Roperhurst were the company history and tradition, coupled with their forward thinking and continuing investment in people and state of the art manufacturing technology.”
Glenn was born and raised in Merthyr, and spent more than one holiday on the beaches of Barry Island, indeed he managed to dig out this photo of his early days in Barry!
Glenn said “I have very fond memories of my childhood in Barry, and it feels great to come full circle and work for a Barry-based company after all these years.”
He started work in the plastics industry in 1969, firstly at Plastic Constructions which at that time was probably the UK market leader in plastic fabrication. Since then he has worked for some of the UK’s best known plastics fabricators and installers, working on odour control and fume extract projects in the UK, Europe and the Far East.
Roperhurst CEO Phillipe de Wilde said “Glenn has a tremendous reputation in his field. We’ve known him for a number of years, and when the opportunity arose to bring him into our team we did not hesitate.”
Glenn will be based in the Midlands, enhancing our presence in that area but with a broad remit for growth in the UK and overseas.
