Roperhurst’s Executive Chairman Phillipe de Wilde took part in a round table discussion today entitled “Knowledge is King“, focussing on the important role that BESA’s Technical Standards and Guidance play in ensuring high quality construction and design.
Alongside BESA’s Iain McCaskey and Mark Oakes, as well as Rab Fletcher from Fife Council, the group discussed the importance of consultants getting project specifications spot on, reflecting the correct and most up-to-date standards and where to find the specialist skills required, and the role that BESA plays in ensuring that their specialist members are audited and competent in their specialisms.
Mark and Iain reflected that the BESA knowledge portal contains around 100 publications, including DW154 “Plastic Ductwork”, as well as training videos and guidance created by its members, including those produced by Roperhurst.
